I am a Category Manager looking after the Audio-Visual and ICT Categories here at CPC. Working with the Contracting Team my role includes managing the frameworks within my categories and developing the category and the offerings available for members. The development can take on may forms including review and revision of framework lot structures to widen the scope of products and services open to members. Improving the usability of frameworks for members through a number of means while ensuring suppliers are contract managed to ensure the best outcome for all and achieve value for money. Further to this I work within the group and key stakeholders to ensure a complete process.
Helping our future generations and doing my little bit to help out. Knowing that you are working on behalf of a registered charity is a great way of doing this as we (CPC) provide a service which in turn will help our members concentrate on the education of our future generations
I began my career in procurement having graduated from the University of Salford with BSc in Business Studies. I initially worked in the private sector as a food buyer while studying to gain my Chartered Institution of Purchasing and Supply qualification (CIPS). Following a short few months traveling the World I then went on to work for AstraZeneca as a Business Analyst. I then moved into education working in the Higher Education sector for the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC) for 13 years, working across 10 categories, developing frameworks, writing category strategies and leading tenders with involvement of Members. While at NWUPC I also gained a masters degree in Business Practice.
Providing a quality service to members enabling them to concentrate on what they are good at – education.
