The cost of the risk protection arrangement (RPA) is reviewed annually to ensure breadth of cover and value for money are balanced. It has been confirmed that RPA deduction from the general annual grant (GAG) will be £19 per pupil from 1 September 2021 to 31 August 2022.
Academies already in the RPA don’t need to do anything as their membership will renew automatically on 1 September 2021. Academies who wish to consider alternative insurance arrangements, please take a look at CPC’s Insurance and Associated Services framework agreement, which provides a route to the insurance market.
The framework provides you with a simple process for obtaining 3 competitive quotations from pre-qualified specialist education insurance providers, using CPC’s specifically designed insurance questionnaire(s).
The framework delivers compliance with your internal procurement regulations as well as The Public Contract Regulations 2015.
Expert technical advice is on hand by our FCA regulated partners Risk2Value and procurement support is provided by CPC’s Insurance Contract Manager.
Insurance covers typically purchased under Lot 1 of the framework include:
Should you be an academy who is remaining with the RPA, but needs quotations for additional covers not provided for, the framework also gives you access to 5 specialist education insurance providers. The framework is a DfE recommended framework for these additional RPA Plus covers.
Please visit the CPC Insurance and Associated Services framework page or contact Gary Sadler on 0161 974 0940 or email [email protected] for more information and to access the insurance questionnaire.
