23% Saving on Beauty Consumables & Kits, 49% Saving on Branding Hair Products & Kits

Our latest benchmarking activity has included carrying out two exercises on behalf of a member Institution in the South West region on two separate frameworks.

The first exercise undertaken was on the Hair Beauty & Wigs Supplies Framework (Lot 1 – Beauty Consumables & Kits). The Institution had spend of £1,495.36 and benchmarking results showed an average saving of 23.17% compared to their current rates by using the Framework.

The second exercise undertaken was on the Branded Hair Products & Kits Framework (Lot 1 – Branded Hair Products and Kits). The Institution had spend of £9,372.47 and the comparison exercise showed the Institution could have saved 49.79% compared to their current rates by using the framework.

Clarification

We wanted to clarify the benchmarking saving of 145.30% that we reported in the May newsletter on the Branded Hair Products & Kits Framework (Lot 1 – Branded Hair Products & Kits) Framework. If the Institution used the framework they would stand to save an average of 54.22% on current rates, or as previously reported, by not using the framework their costs would be an average 145.30% more expensive than the pricing available through the framework.
