Whilst the summer holidays may seem a long way away, May is the ideal month to start planning any major refurbishment according to David Hall, Group Sales Director at Godfrey Syrett. Mr Hall explains that there is always a surge in demand for furniture in July and August as colleges and schools require furniture to be delivered and installed during the summer holidays. “As such early planning meetings and briefings with suppliers pay dividends", he advises. “The more time a manufacturer has to work with a client on space planning and understanding their objectives, and specific requirements the easier it is to provide different cost options and give thought to the best type of furniture and layout”.
