Cloud computing report

Konica Minolta produced a report highlighted how cloud computing remains a key technology trend across UK education and the wider public sector as a whole. When it comes to print solutions, cloud technology offers greater flexibility and better experiences for schools regardless of what their print management environments look like today.

Although cloud-based technologies have been present for a number of years, it is only now that we’re beginning to see a shift in attitudes within the education market. With an ever increasing number of institutions making the transition to cloud solutions, in fact when surveyed, 96% of universities and 35% of schools implemented some sort of cloud technology in 2017.*

Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) has been one of the largest educational institutions to adopt cloud-based technologies and long-term cost savings of the move are in excess of £7million. AET are not alone in reaping the rewards from an effective cloud computing solution, Staffordshire University saved an estimated £6.4m on an 11-month project that saw them transition to cloud technologies.
