CPC are delighted to announce that the re-tender of Sports, Fitness & Gym Equipment has been successfully finalised and awarded through an OJEU compliant open procedure. The framework is split into two lots, Lot 1 for Sports & Non-Commercial Fitness Equipment and Lot 2 which covers Commercial Fitness & Gym Equipment.

This new offering provides members with access to more suppliers across the lots than the previous iteration, increasing the level of competition and opportunities to gain best value for money. The successful suppliers are as follows:

    Lot 1
  • Findel Education t/a Davies Sports
  • Gamez Galore Ltd
  • Maudesport Ltd

  • Lot 2

  • Anytime Leisure Ltd t/a Origin Fitness
  • Fitness Warehouse Ltd t/a Gym Gear
  • Johnson Health Tech UK Ltd t/a Matrix Fitness
  • Pulse Fitness Ltd
  • Technogym UK Ltd

There is continuing focus on the “childhood obesity crisis” within the media and it is more important now than ever that children do at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day (as recommended by the NHS). Members are encouraged to speak to suppliers on the framework for ideas as to how they can introduce students to new methods of exercise, including exercise in the classroom and how to breathe life back into any outdated sporting and gym equipment.
