Work has recently begun on the development of a new framework for the provision of Access Control Systems and Associated Services with an anticipated launch date of October 2018. The new agreement will be the result of a fully OJEU compliant tender exercise. It is our intention to offer CPC members a one-stop-shop solution for the supply, installation and maintenance of new and legacy Access Control Systems.

Installation and/or Maintenance service requirements will be met by 1 national and 13 regional lots to enable a broad mix of suppliers (from National to SME) to compete for the opportunity to supply to our members. The framework will also provide a separate lot for the supply of all associated Access Control Consumables including SMART cards, Key Fobs, RFID’s, Magnetic Strip Cards, Access Control Software, Printers (and consumables), Access Control Readers and a Bureau Printing Service.

The purpose of creating a standalone framework for Access Control is to aggregate the requirements of CPC members in order to afford them access to advantageous pricing based on economies of scale, as well ensuring all Access Control solutions are compliant in terms of relevant regulation, legislation and best practice methodology.

We are pleased to inform members that the tender documentation will be available for suppliers on MultiQuote within the coming weeks, and members are encouraged to inform their incumbent suppliers so that the opportunity is not missed. Suppliers can register on MultiQuote at any time, and it is recommended that they monitor the Contracting Pipeline on the CPC website, which will give them an indication of when the opportunity will be live on the portal.
