The Sixth Form College, Solihull is a specialist provider of A level, BTEC and CACHE education. With more than 40 subjects available the College offers one of the widest range of courses in the region. The College used our Outsourced Catering framework and required some technical compliance advice.
The College needed to run a mini competition process under the framework and it was their first time using the CPC In-tend portal. They needed guidance on how to upload and issue the tender documentation via the In-tend portal and then how to compliantly shortlist suppliers.
One of our Regional Procurement Advisor's (RPA,) Karen Edmeads, was on-hand to ensure everything was conducted correctly and compliantly. She assisted the College on-site, addressing all of their concerns and queries and resolving them accordingly.
Karen said: “A second pair of eyes to scrutinise the mini-competition documentation was beneficial as a technical non-compliance was spotted and quickly resolved which mitigated potential challenges from suppliers further into the tender process.”
Procurement Manager, Peter Brown said: “As a veteran of nearly 40 years in procurement I am more confident in using the CPC system.”
He also had high praise for all the help he received: “Karen Edmeads is a credit to your organisation. It would be useful to have brief demonstrations of your tender process/systems at PAG meetings to ensure right first time and ongoing compliance.”
