Description

This DfE approved framework provides a simple and compliant way to buy staff absence insurance and reimbursement policies. It offers a solution to any staff absence requirement ensuring educational institutions are financially supported when staff sickness or absence occurs.

Use CPC’s Staff Absence Protection and Reimbursement framework to access a range of market leading providers who offer policies for managing the cost of staff absence or sickness.

Policy options are flexible and can be tailored to individual requirements allowing you to determine your own benefit periods and excess periods. Insurance and reimbursement policies can provide cover for absences caused by:

  • accident
  • illness
  • compassionate leave
  • jury service
  • suspension
  • maternity
  • paternity
  • adoption
  • bereavement
  • mental health
  • stranded staff
  • hazardous sports / winter activities

There are also options to cover pre-existing conditions or any ongoing absences your educational institution may have.

The framework providers can offer additional value through rehabilitation and wellbeing support services designed to help prevent and reduce the number of absences.

How to Use

Members must run a further competition utilising the Staff Absence Questionnaire available below to determine the provider that best meets their requirements. The Staff Absence Questionnaire has been developed in conjunction with the framework providers to collate the minimum level of information required to prepare quotations. Members should also include additional information such as the levels of benefit required, claims history and any special requirements where appropriate.
