The CPC's new DfE recommended agreement to provide insurance for Academies, Multi-Academy Trusts, Maintained Schools and Free Schools. Insurance products and support services are available directly from insurers or via specialist insurance brokers. CPC members can obtain Comprehensive Insurance Cover & Service Provision through Lot 1 providing you with choice and an alternative to the DfE Risk Protection Arrangement (RPA). For members that have joined the RPA, you can purchase any peripheral cover not included within the RPA through Lot 2.

Lot 1 Comprehensive Insurance Cover & Service Provision will provide insurance protection for:

  • Employers liability
  • Professional indemnity
  • Public and products liability
  • Governers and Officers liability
  • Motor Vehicles
  • Motor occasional business use
  • Engineering damage
  • Statutory plant inspection services
  • Contract works for building projects
  • Business and student travel (including overseas travel)
  • Personal accident
  • Works of art
  • Property damage including glass, money, refrigerated/frozen food and property in transit
  • Computer equipment (fixed or portable)
  • Terrorism
  • Loss due to employee dishonesty or crime by third parties
  • Legal expenses
  • Employment practices liability
  • Hirers Liability
  • Libel and slander
  • Cyber risks

Lot 2 can provide institutions within the RPA the following covers:

  • Motor Vehicles
  • Motor occasional business use
  • Engineering damage
  • Statutory engineering plant inspection services
  • Contract Works for building projects
  • Cyber risks
  • Other specific covers as required
