  • Aimee Williams

    Chair, Member of the Giving Back Group

    With more than 12 years’ experience in education, Aimee has developed a robust knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning, supporting a number of schools both within the Trust and across the county to transform their educational experiences. She holds SLE status for both English and Teaching and Learning, and over the years, has supported many schools in different contexts.

    As teaching and learning lead for 6 years, Aimee vehemently believes schools are the engine of social mobility; providing transformational educational opportunities which will prepare students for future endeavours. In previous roles, Aimee has served as Vice Principal at a secondary school; strategically leading on teaching and learning, professional growth and head of sixth form as well as holding the Executive Lead post for a primary school.

    Alongside her role with the trust, Aimee also works as a Delivery Partner for The Church of England Foundation for Education Leadership supporting with the development and delivery of the NPQ qualifications. Utilising this collaboration, she has fostered the expansion and enhancement of The Institute of Education within her organisation, Three Spires Trust. This initiative has led to the establishment of a comprehensive professional development program aimed at nurturing the advancement and progress of staff members across various levels.

    Aimee, serving as the Chair for CPC and a Trustee for a multi-academy trust in Cheshire, demonstrates a fervent commitment to ensuring high-quality educational experiences for young individuals. She actively engages in initiatives aimed at entirely re-envisioning educational provisions for present and future students.

  • Peter Kane

    Health, safety & wellbeing and sustainability group sponsor

    Peter is Head of Estates and FM at Belfast Metropolitan College. Peter possesses over 23 years’ experience in Project and Assets Management across both the social housing and education sectors. His responsibilities include delivery of the college asset management strategy, plus contract management of the college’s PFI/PPP contracts and overall estate operations, including health and safety/sustainability. Peter is the Board sponsor for health, safety and wellbeing and Sustainability.

  • Fatima Bensihem

    GDPR sponsor, Giving Back Group member

    Fatima is a Finance & Procurement Officer at the College of West Anglia. Fatima is the Board Sponsor for GDPR and supports our Giving Back Group. She adds her experience as a sales ledger, purchase ledger and general ledger officer, working with credit control, management accounts, procurement and insurance, as well as line managing the operational side of a business, with skills in computerised accounts.

  • Lawrence Jenkins

    Employment & Finance Committee

    Lawrence is Deputy Chief Executive at North Kent College. Lawrence is a member of the Chartered Institute of Global Management Accountants and has worked in Further Education for the past 20 years. He has significant experience in financial and change management, as well as building and resource development. Lawrence has also worked in a number of other sectors, including time at the National Trust, the NHS and in media and advertising.

  • Simon Jacobs

    Simon is an entrepreneur and founded his own executive marketing business when he was studying at university. Graduating with a marketing degree, he moved on to work with Camelot Lottery, where he was promoted to Brand Manager and Strategy Innovation Manager. Simon now runs his own business that is focused on bridging the gap between creativity and corporate culture and has experience of working with big organisations, including John Lewis & the BBC. In addition to running his own business he is also currently employed as a Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing the whole marketing strategy. Simon has a passion for education and giving back to others to unlock talent. He has been a lecturer for Burnley College and is currently a Governor at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital, where he has recently completed governance training. Simon oozes creativity and enthusiasm, his drive and ambition brings a diversity of skills and experience to the Board.

  • Lydia Sparrow

    Employment & Finance Committee

    Lydia has spent 18 years in the international development and humanitarian sector, leading operational teams, projects and funding both in the UK and across the world. Through this work she has developed a passion in working for social purpose, and using her experience to help both organisations and individuals explore their challenges.

    "I became a Trustee at CPC because I believe CPC’s ethos of giving back and making a difference. I wanted to bring my experience in people, operations and leadership to help support CPC’s mission and be part of a team that’s focused on doing good things for a positive impact. I'm also excited to learn from the community, deepen my understanding of CPC’s challenges and opportunities, and see the good procurement and purchasing can do in the education sector."

  • Sapna Patel

    A technology leader with a 25+ year career in technology in various business areas at global banks such as Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America. Currently employed in the charity sector as Head of Cyber Security at The King’s Trust, a UK charity (previously known as The Prince’s Trust). Expertise in strategic and commercial technology with strong skills in change, digital transformation, cyber risk and cost effectiveness.

    "I was very keen to be a Trustee at CPC, because I believe in procurement practices for cost efficiency but also in education and the future of young people. That combination in CPC's mission together with the secondary giving back to the sector in the business model drew me in. I feel honoured to know that my knowledge/experience can guide and help drive the organisation forward."

  • Katherine Jarvis

    Experienced strategic procurement professional. Proven ability to work in diverse, challenging environments. Tri-sector working experience (charity, private and public). Current role is Head of Procurement for a private group of fertility clinics. Katherine is also an actively engaged parent governors at a primary school.

  • Rehman (Rem) Noormohamed

    An international lawyer and recognised as a leading UK expert in the field of technology. Current role is as a Partner at Weightman's LLP. Extensive experience in technology and law, strategic and risk. Also, a visiting professor at several universities. Rem has held multiple positions as a non-executive director and trustee.

  • Andrew Woodford

    Employment & Finance Committee

    Andrew is the Chief Finance Officer & Vice Principal of Halesowen College. He has 20 years' experience of working in Further Education Colleges as well as an Academy Trust. He is currently studying strategic level 7 for the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

  • John Dowell

    Employment & Finance Committee

    John is the Executive Director of Finance of Exeter and North Devon Colleges Group. His career has primarily been within the NHS and he has experience in procurement both with the NHS and the education sector. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

To demonstrate compliance with the Charity Governance Code we are publishing our register of interests for our Board of Trustees. This is reported to the Board with declarations of interest tabled and declared as a standard item at each Board meeting.
