Recognising the need to enable collaboration and communication between facilities management professionals in the further education sector, the FE Facilities Management Network (FEFMN) is being established with the support of CPL Group.

The network is intended to work by way of regional representatives who bring discussion points and facilitate sharing of good practices across their area to termly meetings. Attendees at meetings will have the opportunity to hear from relevant speakers on facilities management areas as well as the opportunity to share with the group projects or activities on which they are working. It is hoped that all participants of the network will benefit from the sharing of ideas and best practice across all facilities management disciplines.

The FEFMN hopes to build on the existing flourishing facilities manager network already in place in the Yorkshire region and create a similar network in other regions.

FEFMN as a group are passionate about forming and building facilities management networks across the sector and need your input to drive change and cement best practice where necessary. Given the financial pressures that we are all facing going forward, now is an excellent time to engage with FEFMN. Should you be either interested in attending or willing to volunteer to chair/ deputy chair a FEFMN network in your region, please get in touch. Minutes of the last Yorkshire Region FEFMN are available to download if you would like to see an example of the types of discussions that could take place at the meetings.
