CPC is on the look-out for new Trustees with a passion for education and enhancing teaching and learning, including a Chair to the Board of Trustees. Read on for more on the roles and the expertise we are seeking, as well as how to apply.
CPC's vision is to be the procurement services partner of choice for the UK's education sector and, through our work, help the sector enhance teaching and learning. We achieve this by delivering great-value professional procurement services. CPC then reinvests surplus reserves back into the education sector, funding a variety of worthy projects and purchases. This means that our customers can benefit twice from our service. Essentially, we aim to keep education sector money within education.
CPC is a non-profit organisation and registered charity - and to assist in realising our vision, we are looking for new volunteer Trustees who are either employed by the state, by regional or local authorities, or by other bodies that are governed by public law, while bringing high-level skills and experience to help drive the organisation forward. Following a postholder coming to the end of their maximum term, we are looking to recruit up to two Trustees that can fill one or both of the following roles.
Chair to the CPC Board of Trustees
Trustee with finance/accounting experience
CPC Trustees play a vital role in delivering strategic direction and strong governance, as well as supporting the work of the leadership team. Our Trustees have independent control of the charity and are committed to providing the highest standards of governance and guidance. The Trustees have a responsibility to understand the environment in which the charity is actively operating and to lead the charity in fulfilling its purpose. They are likewise responsible for protecting the charity’s best interests and overseeing its management, strategic planning and accountability.
