Technology is playing an increasingly important role in education. CPC’s new Communications Solutions framework will offer market-leading and innovative solutions that will enhance learning environments.
With the mandatory ISDN and PSTN switch-off fast approaching, now is a good time for institutions to review their communications infrastructure in order to meet the needs of this switch-off and improve the technology available to students and staff.
The new framework will provide a comprehensive suite of supplies and services for CPC members to access, from a range of fully-vetted suppliers. The first four lots focus on key individual areas of the communications market:
Lot 1 - Unified Communications and Telephony
Lot 2 - Network Connectivity
Lot 3 - Omni Channel / Multi-Media Communications
Lot 4 - Mobile Communications
With the fifth lot providing a national one-stop-shop for all a customer’s needs:
Lot 5 - National Communications Solutions One- Stop Shop
Whether an institution is looking for individual products or services, for example, mobile devices, or an integrated service combining multiple areas/channels, the new framework will provide a solution to meet their needs. The framework has been designed with education in mind, to support with the relevant challenges faced, including requirements for high-speed internet, new technology and ISDN switch- off solutions, amongst other areas. Lot 5 offers great flexibility for members to work with a single supplier to develop their communications strategy.
The framework is contract managed by Dukefield Procurement, who are currently evaluating tender bids. The new framework is scheduled to be in place on 23rd October 2022. Further competition and direct award will both be available options for utilising the framework.
The current Telecommunications Services framework is still available for members to use until the new framework launches.
