With the 2026 FIFA World Cup now in full swing, the CPC team has caught football fever and we were proud to have been a sponsor of the One City Deaf Festival, which took place at the City Football Academy, Manchester, on Wednesday 17th June.

Run by City in the Community, the charitable wing of Manchester City Football Club, this special event saw 74 students take part in football activities and was held in the indoor dome of the Etihad Campus, HQ of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup holders.

With as many as 671 students projected as participants of equivalent events across the year, this latest festival has provided a positive outlet for young people in Manchester and our sponsorship was another example of CPC's Giving Back ethos at work.

Since 2019, CPC’s flagship Giving Back initiative has reinvested more than £2.1 million in the UK education sector, with the charity focused on supporting SEND, enhancing wellbeing and addressing absenteeism, via purchases, projects and events.

CPC Managing Director, Darren Lowe, was in attendance and said, “It was fantastic to attend this event and see first-hand all the smiles on the students’ faces. Our vision is to be the first-choice procurement services charity that gives back to education. Through events such as this, that we are doing exactly that. Thanks to everyone involved in making this such a huge success”.
