Crescent Purchasing Consortium will partner up with the Schools and Academies Show team on Thursday 25th September, as we present a special webinar about the impact of Procurement Act 2023 on both schools and the wider education sector.
Commencing at 2pm and pencilled in for around an hour, this free, collaborative event will look to explore the changes and impact of the Act, which came into force for public procurements across England, Wales and Northern Ireland this February.
Taking place almost exactly six months after the new Procurement Act became active law, attendees of this webinar can expect up-to-date insight from a panel formed of CPC procurement experts and business leaders, as well as actionable take-aways to help your institution ensure its purchasing remains appropriately compliant in these times of potential regulatory uncertainty.
With CPC's Learning & Development Lead Mark Pearson and Customer Engagement Manager Jack Horton scheduled to join both the Crown Commercial Service's Senior Policy Lead Richard Hassett and the Department for Education's Head of Schools Partnerships Kevin Draisey, the afternoon's agenda is set to cover the following:
What the Procurement Act 2023 regulations mean for schools and MATs
The implications of not complying with minimum requirements of the Act
Benefits of the Procurement Act and how to make savings for your school
The webinar will also address the importance of having a dedicated or assigned procurement representative in your setting, along with identifying some of the challenges or solutions which this presents, before wrapping up with a Q&A opportunity.
