CPC and Crescent Consultancy support for teacher recruitment woe

Published

By CPC Helpdesk

In light of recent news, we are keen to highlight the assistance our CPC teams can provide, from compliant purchasing framework-led guidance to on or off-site consultancy-based support.

As covered by SchoolsWeek in December, the publication of initial teacher training census statistics for the current academic year revealed a real shortfall in teacher recruitment, with primary recruitment 4% shy of the UK Government's own targets - and secondary recruitment a whopping 50% off target.

With these figures in mind, it seems a difficult objective for secondary institutions to recruit and retain the volume of quality staff that may be expected of them.

Happily, CPC can assist our education institutions as they rise to meet their recruitment challenges this year, with available resources including our Temporary & Permanent Staffing framework agreement. Launched in July 2022, this agreement is split into no fewer than sixteen lots, with its scope stretching across all four nations of the United Kingdom and a healthy selection of ten approved supplier options to be found in each, kindling greater value-seeking opportunities.

As well as addressing needs of institutions at a local level, Lot 13 of this framework crosses borders to present a UK-wide offering, something to the particular benefit of larger college groups and institutions with sites within different regional boundaries. Click here for further details on this diverse staffing framework, including its 14th, 15th and 16th lots, offering Neural Vendor, Managed Service and Education VMS (Vendor Management System) options, respectively.

With the support pathway provided by CPC's Temporary & Permanent Staffing framework, UK schools, academies, colleges and universities alike can stand to benefit from access to compliant staffing solutions that cater towards their specific needs, as well as specialist advice from a dedicated CPC Contract Manager.

In addition, Crescent Consultancy offers a variety of services adjacent to an institution's recruitment requirements; we encourage members to get in touch to discuss how the CPC team can support you.
