Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) has officially been named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ 2024 by Great Place To Work®, the global authority on workplace culture.

Officially announced on Thursday 14th March at the prestigious Best Workplaces Awards, as held at London’s Grosvenor House and hosted by the comedian, Katherine Ryan, the company ranked 80th in the Medium category.

This is the second time the CPL Group, which is comprised of Crescent Purchasing Consortium, Tenet Education and Tenet Procurement, has been recognised in the UK’s Best Workplaces list; in May 2022 it was named 40th on the Medium sized organisations list, while more recently, in 2023 the Group was proud to be Great Place to Work-Certified™ for the third year running and named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women for a second time.

Managing Director of the CPC, Darren Lowe, said, “I’m delighted and very proud CPC has been recognized by Best Workplaces!  This recognition not only celebrates but recognises the fantastic culture that we have, and continue to build at the Group. Certification such as this also helps to support our wider strategic vision to be the procurement services partner of choice for the education sector. I want to take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues and the board of trustees across the Group that help to contribute to this and we will continue to build on this success as we move forward into the new CPC era in 2024. Congratulations to everyone who has been recognised, this is a fantastic achievement that deserves to be celebrated.”

“At Great Place To Work®, our overarching goal has consistently been to enrich the world of work by empowering companies to evolve into exceptional organisations that cater to everyone. We wholeheartedly endorse the idea that what's 'better for business' aligns with what's 'better for people,' ultimately contributing to a better world For All™", said Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work® UK.

“Year after year, it's truly inspiring to witness a growing number of organisations earn a spot on our UK’s Best Workplaces™ List, we’ve seen our client’s Trust Index scores increasing meaning the bar for being on this List getting higher. This recognition is no mean feat and highlights companies across the UK that excel in fostering high levels of trust in leadership, instilling pride in their workforce, and cultivating strong camaraderie among colleagues. These crucial elements collectively contribute to creating workplaces where employees feel they can truly be themselves and thrive in a supportive environment. Congratulations to CPL Group for being part of our 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces™ List."

Great Place To Work® performed rigorous evaluations of hundreds of employee survey responses alongside Culture Audit™ submissions from leaders at each company to create the 2024 UK's Best Workplaces™ list. They then used these data insights to benchmark the effectiveness of companies' employee value propositions against the culture their employees experience. Only those businesses who achieve the highest scores receive Best Workplaces™ status.
