Following our extensive and steadfast support of the education sector in preparing for Procurement Act 2023, Crescent Purchasing Consortium has been shortlisted for Procurement Team of the Year recognition at the upcoming GO Awards.
Our successful nomination is a feather in the cap for a host of CPC colleagues, who have collectively delivered outstanding support provision during the assessment period, as the education sector prepared to transition to the new Act and its laws.
In times of unprecedented change to public procurement, CPC has strived to inform, educate and, ultimately, lead the way.
A fixture of our industry's event calendar for more than 20 years, the UK National GO Awards look to celebrate procurement and public service accomplishments and excellence, rewarding organisations and individuals who have truly made their mark.
This year's GO Awards ceremony will be in Liverpool on Wednesday 21st May and is organised by BiP Solutions, while CPC's award category of 'Procurement Team of the Year - Education and Other Organisations' is sponsored by Amazon Business.
With leading figures from UK procurement helping to form the judging panel, any GO Award win can be seen as a standout achievement, with the calibre of finalists across its 15 categories including high-profile organisations like the Cabinet Office, the Home Office, the Department for Education, Network Rail, Transport for Greater Manchester and the Welsh Government.
A delegation from CPC will be in attendance for the Awards, to be held at Titanic Hotel Liverpool by the city's Stanley Dock.
The black tie occasion will wrap up a busy itinerary of procurement networking, learning and development and professional commendation, following the big Procurex England conference, two miles down the Mersey, at Exhibition Centre Liverpool.
