As CPC’s landmark 25th anniversary year continues to offer cause for celebration, we were delighted to pass the milestone total of 10,000 CPC members at the start of April.
Cheshire’s Alderley Edge Community Primary School were the unknowing institution to help CPC achieve the magic number and we hope their school can benefit from the professional procurement services now at their disposal, just as so many others like them have done across our proud quarter-century of service.
Coinciding with our major brand harmonisation project, passing the 10,000-member checkpoint has been another vindication of the hard work of our dedicated team, who have helped establish CPC as a go-to partner within the education sector, enhancing our vision of becoming its partner of choice.
With CPC members’ unified purchasing power helping to reduce supplier costs, our combined strength is one of our foremost assets, while the ability for members to share knowledge, guidance and best practice via regional Procurement Advisory Groups and further connections allows our membership to help advance the education sector well beyond the walls of their own institution.
From expert, in-house procurement advice to a catalogue of 88 accessible and compliant framework agreements, CPC continues to offer a multitude of attractive, low-risk resources, unlocking potential pathways for time/money savings while powering our membership beyond the five-figure threshold.
Some 25 years ago, in 1999, the fledgling Crescent Purchasing Consortium harboured an aspiration to facilitate collaboration between the further education colleges of our native Greater Manchester.
Today, we are the custodians of a registered charity and purchasing colossus, some 10,000 members strong, working with and for institutions around the British Isles, with a reach stretching as far as the Channel Islands.
To our members across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and beyond, we thank you for putting faith in CPC and are ready to help support your procurement requirements, learning and development needs and more.
Having successfully realised this achievement, CPC will continue to pursue the goal of 15,000 members in 2027.
