An amalgamation of two previous agreements that catered to colleges and academies and schools respectively, CPC's new Insurance & Associated Services framework went live on 1st February, offering our members a streamlined route to market.
If you're one of more than 10,000 registered CPC members (see here for registration information), you can put this framework to work, free of charge, reducing the complication in procuring legal support independently, while safe in the knowledge that each of our incumbent suppliers have been assessed and approved by the CPC team prior to inclusion on the 2025 agreement.
Users of the Insurance & Associated Services framework can employ it to compliantly access commercial insurers and brokers who can offer insurance services. Service provision includes, though is not limited to, property, contents, liabilities, indemnities, accident, travel, legal expenses, plus more, with Lot 1 intended to service further education colleges, specialist and land-based colleges, Sixth Form colleges and universities. Lot 2 provides options to academies and multi-academy trusts, as well as special schools, free schools, maintained schools and private institutions, while Lot 3 permits certain institutions who are signed to the DfE Risk Protection Arrangement (RPA) the ability to access to peripheral covers that are not included as part of the RPA offer.
A host of additional benefits of utilising this framework are listed on the new Insurance & Associated Services page of our site, which also details the eligibility scope of Lot 3, along with highlighting insurance specialist advice that is available to members.
Please note that as this framework was instituted prior to the go-live date for Procurement Act 2023, the agreement will thus be governed by the preceding Public Contracts Regulations 2015, through to its scheduled ending date of 31st January 2028.
