Learning & Development is at the heart of the Group

By Toby Belshaw

The CPL Group is delighted to support colleagues on their individual learning and development journeys and, since 2019, has funded 11 colleagues through their CIPS qualifications.

We currently have seven employees who are studying for their CIPS qualification and wanted to extend our congratulations to everyone who has passed exams this month, each moving another step closer to putting the MCIPS letters after their names.

MCIPS stands for Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, which signifies that you are a fully qualified member of CIPS, allowing you to utilise the relevant post-nominals after your name and marking you as a highly qualified and experienced purchasing professional.

After passing his most recent exam earlier this month, Senior Procurement Officer Myles Woodman is now only two exams away from the full Level 6 qualification, which he is hoping to complete in January 2023. Myles said: “The CPL Group has supported me with my CIPS qualifications and the challenges you encounter whilst working a full-time job and studying at the same time. Fellow colleagues also studying all support each other with their experiences and the Group are proud to see their staff attain their MCIPS status and celebrate when people reach this milestone. I can’t wait to hopefully complete mine in the new year!”.

Elsewhere in the business, we have a number of colleagues who are also progressing with their own individual qualifications, which include CIPD Level 5, CompTIA Cloud+ qualification and Level 4 AAT.

CPL Group Managing Director Darren Lowe said,Congratulations to everyone who has recently passed their latest modules and exams. This is fantastic news for the Group, and I’m delighted that we can help support our people develop both their skills and careers, which, in turn, helps support our vision to be the procurement services partner of choice for the education sector and, through our work, help the sector to enhance teaching and learning. I know from personal experience just how demanding juggling work, training and a social life can be, so all of you should be extremely proud to reach these significant milestones in your personal development. Keep up the great work and best of luck as you approach the final stages of your qualifications”.
