New Staff Absence Insurance Framework To Launch Soon

Published

CPC have issued intent of award letters and are currently in the 10-day standstill period for an exciting new Staff Absence Insurance framework. Assuming there isn’t a legal challenge to the process the new framework will be launched and available for members to utilise from 1st September 2016.

The first known OJEU tendered framework agreement for Staff Absence Insurance will offer CPC members access to a panel of brokers and insurers who are experts in their field. The framework will enable members to procure absence insurance policies through a simple compliant process delivering significant savings through a further competition process. Some examples of the types of absences that can be covered are maternity leave, maternity related illness, bereavement leave, jury service, stress related illness, re-occurring illness & ill-health retirement. These and many other extensive covers are available and the benefit periods and values can differ dependent on the choice of cover you make.

CPC and our insurance partner Risk2Value will work with our successful framework providers to create a suite of template documentation enabling CPC members to purchase Staff Absence Insurance as succinctly as possible. As ever CPC and Risk2Value will be able to offer advice and guidance to support you through the further competition process.

The framework is split into two lots detailed below:

  • Lot 1 Staff Absence Insurance

  • Lot 2 Budget Overspend Insurance

Further information will be made available in due course but if you have any queries please contact CPC Contract Supervisor, Gary Sadler or call on 0161 974 0940. If you have any technical queries, please contact Graham Peck at Risk2Value or call on 01452 864874.
