Outdoor sports to be prioritised – do you have adequate maintenance of sports facilities?

Published

By Lisa O'Shea

Government guidance on physical activity in schools is encouraging the prioritisation of outdoor sports so now more than ever it’s important to have a high quality maintenance programme for your synthetic sports facilities. The added pressures of the winter season and the toll this can take on artificial grass pitches and multi-use games areas, means now is the time to be working with a reputable and specialist maintenance contractor to ensure the performance and appearance of your sports facilities remain high.  A specialist and reputable maintenance contractor may also be able to offer additional cleaning services such as anti-viral and antibacterial deep cleans to assist in the additional hygiene measures you may be implementing.

CPC’s Synthetic Sports Facilities Framework Agreement provides you with access to 7 specialist synthetic sport pitches maintenance contractors.  All contractors have been assessed across a range of relevant criteria including Health and Safety, Pricing, Environmental Considerations, Safeguarding and Maintenance Method Statements. Each contractor on the framework possesses the requisite policies, procedures and processes necessary to successfully deliver your requirements.

Our easy to use online quote tool provides you with the facility to send your maintenance requirements to the 7 suppliers on Lot 2 of the framework for a fully bespoke quotation. Ensuring that not only are you working with a reputable and specialist contractor but you can prove value for money is being achieved also through competition.

The prioritisation of outdoor sports is likely to go on for some time so you may also be looking to invest in brand new synthetic sports facilities, providing you the option of using the facilities all year round. Lot 1 of the framework provides you with access to 8 specialist installation contractors rather than manufacturers, allowing for a single relationship with suppliers that will undertake the vast majority of works needed for this type of project. Contractors are capable of ensuring adherence to relevant professional governing body certification for particular surface types and will offer guidance, advice and knowledge sharing to help you achieve greater value from your facilities.
