Secure new provisions with Security Staffing & Associated Services framework

Published

By Ria Logan

The latest addition to an extensive CPC framework catalogue, our new Security Staffing and Associated Services agreement was launched on 14th August 2024 and is therefore now live for members to utilise.

Split into 14 regional lots, with a more than 30 suppliers, the new framework will run for a three-year duration.

There is also the option to extend for a further year, with further information available via the framework page.

The framework itself is a retender of a previous agreement, which operated under the name of Security Services.

Effective security services not only help to prevent crime, but they also contribute to a positive image of the institution by creating a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, partners and other visitors.

This framework allows registered CPC members to engage quickly with competent and committed suppliers, capable of the compliant delivery of Security Staffing & Associated Services contracts to the education sector.

Member institutions may also require suppliers to deliver training to project, contract or client management teams, to ensure a thorough understanding of the working procedures implemented within the organisation.

Suppliers are able to offer the following as core security services, either directly or through a sub-contractor:

  • Manned guarding services

  • Mobile security patrols

  • Key holding and alarm response

  • Locking and unlocking services

As part of a security staffing contract, or as a standalone service, if requested, suppliers may be able to offer the following, non-core services, either through self-delivery or via sub-contracting. Non-core services can include:

  • Remote CCTV monitoring and management

  • Event security

  • Canine detection service

  • Security review and consultations

  • Security screening applications

The new framework gives CPC members a compliant route to market, allowing members to purchase at a substantial and demonstrable discount relative to the marketplace throughout the term of the agreement.
