Regional PAG events confirmed for this October

CPC is happy to announce our Procurement Advisory Group (PAG) gatherings return this month, presenting additional support to CPC members at a potentially valuable stop on the road to public procurement reform.

We recently learned Procurement Act 2023's arrival in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is to be postponed to February 2025, but questions remain surrounding the new Act and its implications to many of our CPC members.

With this in mind, the upcoming October Procurement Advisory Group events will look at a notable aspect of the impending reforms; one which our members might benefit from further learning around before February's go-live.

Led by CPC's Customer Engagement Manager, Jack Horton, seven regional sessions will endeavour to highlight key exemptions or noted differences to the primary provisions of Procurement Act 2023; specifically, those for public contracts awarded by schools and other relevant educational establishments.

The meetings will aim to detail the kinds of organisations or institutions covered, while offering potential for discussion of administrative tasks institutions need to complete in light of the new Act's forthcoming arrival.

As ever, the PAG meetings will also provide a vehicle for those looking to network professionally in their area and expand their general knowledge of procurement matters, while sharing and/or absorbing best practice solutions.

There will also be the opportunity for attendees to pitch questions and express what they would like to see from CPC in the next year, as we move into a period of significant change in relation to public purchasing regulations.
