The concept of the CPL Village, started as an idea that our Managing Director, Darren Lowe had back in 2018/2019, which had its first rollout in November 2021.
The SAAS poses a unique opportunity for key decision makers to network right across the education sector. It also enables the CPL Group to show case its 90 procurement frameworks with several being approved by the DfE, along with its Tenet ‘On-Demand’ and placement consultancy offer, providing members with a one stop shop of guidance and support for all their buying for school’s needs.
We were delighted to have 22 of our leading suppliers exhibit and sponsor the CPL Village, which provided a wide spectrum of knowledge and expertise on the day, which was welcomed by hundreds of delegates visiting the stand.
A new offering to the show was our very own CPL Learning stand, which was warmly received by delegates. CPL Learning is one of our charity objectives which is to advance education and research in procurement for the education sector. Our CPL Group Learning and Development platform provides our members with funded FREE training courses, resources, templates, guidance, and latest news along with a forum to share knowledge and ideas with other procurement professionals across the education sector. It is just one of the many benefits of being a CPC member to support your procurement journey whilst upskilling and educating your own onsite staff to make sound procurement decisions.
The lead sponsor of the CPL Village was Lewis & Graves Partnership and the suppliers who exhibited with us were:

The CPL Village has become a SAAS staple and continues to grow, develop, and evolve with each show. We look forward with eagerness to welcome you to the next show being held at the ExCel, London on the 17th of May 2023.
Jason King Sales Director at Lewis & Graves, said, “To be the main sponsor of the CPL Village was a really good decision, the coverage that we’ve had and all the stuff that’s built up to the event, such as going into the magazine, the pod and the position of the stand, it’s been a great decision. We did the SAAS at the London Excel in April, but it’s been amazing event here in Birmingham, we’ve never done this one before and we are so glad that we did! It’s just been so good, very busy and a really great choice for us.”
CPL Group Managing Director Darren Lowe said, “I cannot tell you how proud I was to be part of CPL Group Village, representing our fantastic organisation with its 90 procurement frameworks with several being approved by the DfE, along with our Tenet On-Demand and institution placement consultancy services. The CPL Village was a real showstopper at the heart of the show, we were delighted to have 15 of our leading suppliers exhibit with us with lead sponsor being Lewis & Graves Partnership with a further 7 suppliers sponsoring the stand feature wall. Banner, kindly sponsored the CPL Village coffee stand which serviced a constant queue of eager delegates, who could sit down, have a coffee and a slice of cake whilst being supporting hundreds of key education decision makers with sound procurement advice, navigate the complex economic environment we find ourselves in."
