CPC would like to thank everyone who came to talk procurement with us at the two-day Schools and Academies Show in Birmingham, with our signature CPC Village forming a major part of November's event at the National Exhibition Centre.

Our CPC procurement professionals were on hand at the Village on 19th and 20th November to support delegates with any questions or queries they might have, while sponsors Zurich Municipal kindly provided free cake and coffees for our visitors.

On Day 1, CPC's Customer Engagement Manager, Jack Horton joined our Head of Procurement, Rachel Turner, plus Head of Contracting Services, Peter McMullan for ‘Responding to the Procurement Act’, an informative session at the event's Business & Finance Theatre, which sought to share useful advice and up-to-date information on the new public purchasing regulations.

Day 2 meanwhile saw CPC Procurement Manager, Eve Metcalfe, address the theatre, talking ‘Proper Procurement Processes: What Getting Procurement Right Looks Like’, alongside Derbyshire County Council Procurement Manager, Zara Barraclough.

The biannual event, which again attracted thousands of sector stakeholders to the NEC, followed the recent 'Procurement Act: The Impact on Schools & Education' webinar, a session presented in partnership by CPC and the SAAS, available to watch now.

Thanks to all our November CPC Village exhibitors, who included a host of our trusted framework suppliers and CPC partners...

The Schools and Academies Show also allowed us to share news of our participation in 'We're Off to the Big School!' for 2026, as CPC partners up with Tree of Knowledge to help bring their successful Scottish schools project to another P7/Year 6 cohort.

Look out for more on this project in the coming months, as CPC and the Tree of Knowledge team gear up to support a host of young learners in making their big transition to secondary school, debunking key myths and having a lot of fun along the way.
