The start of the new academic year is a time to start to consider and plan your software licensing requirements, whilst ensuring licensing compliance across your institution. CPC’s newly launched Software Licenses & Associated Services for Academies & Schools framework provides a compliant route to market with a range of highly accredited suppliers. This deal is recommended by the Department for Education and member schools and academies are not only able to purchase software licenses through the framework, but also have access to supplier expertise and knowledge including; assistance with identifying correct license types through to ensuring licensing compliance through the eleven approved framework suppliers.
The framework is split into four lots, each covering a wide range of software and license types as detailed below:
Lot 1 – Microsoft (including but not limited to Office and creative software. Also, a wide range of license types from OVS-ES, Schools Agreements to EES)
Lot 2 – Adobe (including but not limited to creative software such as Photoshop, Spark and Creative Cloud and PDF including Acrobat and Reader. Available in both Device and Named-User licencing options.) For any Schools or Academies wishing to learn more about Adobe Spark, Adobe is running a free Spark Roadshow in early November. The Spark roadshow is a free event. Here, Adobe education experts will be providing free training and advice on the digital tools that can help Spark students ideas into life. Lot 3 – Other off the Shelf Software (including but not limited to Symantec, VMWare, Sophos, Veeam, Acronis, Nuance and Avid)
Lot 4 – One Stop Shop (the five suppliers on this lot have successfully been awarded a place on all lots 1 – 4)

OVS-ES = for any educational institution with a full time equivalent employee count of between 5 - 1000. Pricing is based on the number of staff rather than the number of devices
Schools Agreement = An annual licensing agreement with a term of between 1 and 3 years
Academic MOLP = for small – mid size educational institutions with 5 or more desktop computers. Licensing agreements can be for either 1, 2 or 3 years
Academic Select Plus = for large institutions with 250 or more computers that need to be licensed
EES = Microsoft’s Enrolment for Education Solutions is an easy, cost-effective agreement that provides qualified academic customers with a simplified way to acquire Microsoft software and services under a single, subscription enrolment
