We are often asked whether conditions can be included in contracts relating to the provision of apprentices. Last month CCS issued a Procurement Policy Note (PPN) that may be helpful to member institutions who are considering this issue. Although the PPN applies only to central government and to contracts over £10m it does give some useful 'Dos and Don'ts' as well as example selection and award stage questions, criteria and measures.
