By Jack Horton

With a busy few months ahead, CPC Customer Engagement Manager, Jack Horton, has been in touch to share some of our upcoming events, as we continue to support the education sector in a host of different ways, this final quarter of 2026. 🤝

To find out more about the various events on the way this winter, or to register to attend, click on their specific session titles...

Tuesday 10th November @ 11am
Procurement Advisory Group (Place Category)

In this session, we are delighted to showcase a first-of-its-kind construction framework. In partnership with Weightmans and Identity Consult, our new, major Crescent Construction Framework is now live, and seeks to address long-standing concerns about existing construction frameworks, working to deliver a best-in-class solution. This framework will not only give public sector clients confidence in compliance and delivery, but will offer contractors fair access to a pipeline of high-value projects and provide contracting authorities with a compliant, transparent and efficient route to market.

Join Peter McMullan, CPC's Head of Contracting Services, for an informative discussion and be sure to ask any questions, as well as bringing along any Estates and Facilities colleagues or stakeholders that might find this free online session beneficial.

Wednesday 11th November @ 10am
The Changing SEND Landscape: Are You Ready?

Across the UK education sector, schools and colleges have been facing mounting pressure to support increasing numbers of children and young adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). In particular, more mainstream and special schools are being named in Education, Health, and Care Plans, despite, in some cases, being unsuitable settings for the child.

In addition, earlier this year, the UK Government published its white paper, Every child achieving and thriving, with its aims to implement reforms to improve outcomes for children with SEND. This November session will look at the changing landscape.

Tuesday 1st December @ 11am
Managing Financial Difficulties for Education Providers

These are challenging times for education providers, with funding and budget cuts a strain on resources, plus rising costs, and many may find themselves facing financial difficulties. If you’re a school, academy trust, or college looking for guidance, join us on Tuesday 1st December, when Jean Tsang, Roshni Pisavadia, Mark Traynor and Lucy McLynn from law firm Bates Wells will be on hand discuss some of the key things to think about, as well as practical steps you can take now.

Tuesday 15th December @ 11am
CPC's 'Just Four Things': Procurement Essentials

CPC’s new bitesize webinar series, ‘Just Four Things’, aims to give you a digestible 30-minute training session, once per month. The forthcoming Procurement Essentials webinar offers a practical introduction to the fundamentals of procurement, exploring why it matters and how it supports value for money, compliance, risk management and positive organisational outcomes.

Intended for those *new* to procurement, as well as those involved in purchasing decisions, plus those looking to refresh their knowledge, the session breaks procurement down into four key principles: to build confidence, strengthen understanding and provide practical insights that can be applied in everyday roles. Four things. Stronger foundations. Better procurement.
