Description

This Framework is intended to provide creative solutions to meet evolving needs, of a a diverse range of stakeholders and furniture requirements for staff, student, visitors etc. in a wide range of environments including offices, teaching and study spaces, libraries, accommodation, hospitality and leisure, etc. This may include but is not limited to:

• supporting wellbeing and inclusivity, e.g. » ergonomic furniture » biophilic design elements » complements the look and feel of the space where the furniture is installed and used without causing visual distraction and discomfort in sensory neutral spaces. 

• supporting smarter working and productivity e.g. » suited to a variety of different activities » mobile, flexible and adaptable / easily reconfigurable wherever possible, enabling individual and collaborative work. » technology integrated. 

• maximising sustainability » directly through the manufacturing and supply chain process, including carbon impacts » indirectly through product longevity, a high standard of furniture to significantly reduce the number of replacements required » by incorporating circular economy principles – promoting second life products through product take-back and buy-back schemes and initiatives that promote material recycling and upcycling 

• providing variety and flexibility in design and finishes to suit customer’s desired look and feel in an environment. » good design and provision can help attract and retain staff and students. 

• managing budget pressure and risk » economic uncertainties in the HE sector and business confidence could impact spending, at least in the short to medium term. » indirectly through product longevity, a high standard of furniture to significantly reduce the number of replacements required 

The Framework has been divided into 11 Lots. Due to the wide possible variation in requirements the intention is for the Framework to have flexibility built-in so Members can confirm specifics under a Competitive Selection Process (as long as the requirements fall within the scope of the Lot titles):

 Call-off from the Framework is by means of either direct award (without re-opening competition) or by following a Competitive Selection Process.

Important Procurement Act 2023 requirement

It is very important for CPC members to register on the new Find a Tender Service to create your organisation’s unique procurement identifier, known as an API Key. You then need to add the API Key to your profile on our MultiQuote eSender portal to run compliant mini competitions for our frameworks. It is a requirement under Procurement Act 2023 that relevant notices are published to the Find a Tender Service and MultiQuote can only publish your notices if you have added your API Key.
