Giving Back funding window opens on 6th January

Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) is proud to confirm that our latest Giving Back funding window will be officially opened on Monday 6th January 2025, allowing member institutions multiple weeks to prepare any funding applications.

The launch was announced at the recent Schools and Academies Show, which welcomed stakeholders from across education.

Being a registered charity, Giving Back is a central part of what we do and, in its five years of existence, the initiative has helped CPC fulfil its aims to enhance teaching and learning, support disadvantaged children and improve pupils' education experience.

To date, more than £1.5m has been designated for Giving Back reinvestment, with scores and scores of learning institutions (several of whom are highlighted in this series of films) already benefitting since the charitable project was started in 2019.

Today, Giving Back has a renewed focus and will target the interlocking areas of SEND, absenteeism and wellbeing, welcoming funding applications that can help your institution and the wider education sector address these via projects and/or purchases.

SEND

Identified as one of the UK education sector's most in-demand areas for additional support and resource, CPC's Giving Back programme will devote an increased emphasis to financial backing for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Absenteeism

Addressing a recurring blight on students' education experience, Giving Back will target absenteeism in 2025, opening up opportunities for schools, academies and other establishments to foster attendance-friendly environments and initiatives.

Wellbeing

Finally, Giving Back will act to tackle perhaps the prevailing societal issue of our times, investing funds in the fight for better wellbeing. Often intertwined, we hope our wellbeing, absenteeism and SEND efforts can support all three areas in synergy.

CPC will be looking for engaging and inspiring funding proposals relating to these areas; ideas that can improve young lives and make a real difference to your students. And we could be Giving Back to your institution before the academic year is out.

Information on how to apply in January's Giving Back window will be posted in the Giving Back section of CPC's website during the weeks ahead, with institutions able to apply from 6th January, up until the window's closure on 28th February.

Please note, to be eligible for support, institutions must be registered members of CPC and have utilised at least one of our procurement frameworks since 1st November 2023 (as evidenced by a framework supplier reporting spend, after this date).

In addition, members can only apply if they have been registered with Crescent Purchasing Consortium for a full year before the new window opens - thus, to clarify, this window is only accessible to those registered with us prior to 6th January 2024.

Please contact us at CPC if you have any other queries relating to the forthcoming Giving Back funding window and its terms.

With a high level of demand anticipated, CPC advises potential applicants to begin preparations early to avoid disappointment.

Giving Back is a unique part of what makes CPC your prospective procurement partner of choice, with surplus funds generated through our everyday work around the UK being reallocated for Giving Back purchases and projects in every funding window.

In 2024, Giving Back helped bolster community cohesion in Liverpool and facilitated 24/7 counselling support in Darlington. Could your project idea be next? Visit our Giving Back page from 6th January and perhaps CPC can make your dream a reality.
