From fresh framework information to Added Value and the latest evolution of our Procurement Advisory Group, Crescent Purchasing Consortium has a hat-trick of webinar events on the agenda this September, for CPC members to benefit from.

On Thursday 17th September at 10am, we resume our series of Added Value webinars with a new session entitled 'Managing financial difficulties for education providers'. In these often challenging times, as often affected by funding and budget cuts, strained resources and rising costs, many institutions may find themselves faced with financial difficulties. Whether you’re part of a school, academy/MAT or college, looking for further guidance, join the Added Value webinar to see how you can combat this, with guests from law firm Bates Wells on hand to discuss some key things to consider, plus practical steps you may take.

The upcoming session will cover:

• Top tips on navigating financial difficulties and insolvency.

• Trustee/governor duties and responsibilities when dealing with financial difficulties.

• Ensuring safeguarding remains a priority.

• Key employment considerations, including an overview of redundancy processes.

• Considerations and options for land and property, when you are facing financial difficulties.

• Thinking about mergers, collaborations and restructuring.

On Monday 28th September at 10am, we've our big member briefing on the new Crescent Construction Framework, as CPC rolls out information on how to put this new procurement resource to good use for your institution across the academic year.

Developed through an innovative partnership between CPC, Weightmans and Identity Consult, the framework already has its own dedicated microsite and you can learn lots about the upcoming information webinar here or sign up now to get involved.

Finally, on Wednesday 30th September at 11am, CPC will launch its refreshed approach to our Procurement Advisory Group, as our PAG sessions switch up to reflect CPC's own contracting management structure. Beginning in this autumn term, we will debut our new, category-based model, with PAG meetings consequently becoming structured around our three categories of People, Place and Product, prompting topic-focused sessions aligned to each particular category.

Kicking off with the People category, PAG members are encouraged to join Senior CPC Category Manager Katherine Orme for a deep dive into this new, six-lot, DfE-approved Temporary & Permanent Staffing framework, which went live on 31st August.

Register here now to join the event and find out how the latest iteration of this compliant procurement framework has been designed to meet CPC members' needs, while also learning how this purchasing resource aligns with the new GCA mandate.

Remember to keep an eye on the CPC site for more webinar-based learning opportunities, as the academic year rolls on...
