New Supplier Appointed Following Successful Request For Quote Procedure
Bury College employed CPC to conduct a tendering process for the retender of its Finance System.
The project was conducted via the Request for Quotation (RFQ) route to market, as the anticipated value of the project was below the Find a Tender (FTS) threshold of £189,330.
CPC recommended an effective route to market that met the Trust's required timescales and budget, as well as enabling a closed competition with a select number of suppliers.
The RFQ route to market also allowed the College's incumbent to participate in the tender process.
The process, including system demonstrations, was carried out remotely via Microsoft Teams, email exchange and telephone calls in approximately 7.5 days.
Support provided throughout the process included:
drafting and reviewing the specification and accompanying tender documents
managing the tender on the e-tendering portal MultiQuote
evaluating tenders
hosting system demonstrations
writing a recommendation report
developing contract documents
generally providing procurement consultancy support and guidance throughout the process
The College went through a compliant process in line with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR2015 regulations) and the result was the appointment of an experienced Supplier which could deliver the requirements of the College.
In addition, the overall contract cost fell within the College's anticipated budget.
