Confirmation that Sixth Form Colleges are exempt from Contracts Finder Regulations

Published

The Public Procurement Amendment Repeals and Revocations Regulations 2016 have now been published and apply after 18 April 2016. These Regulations are concerned mainly with correcting drafting errors in The Public Contracts Regulations 2016 (the Regulations that govern procurement in the UK public sector). However, one of the key amendments that will be important to our members, is confirmation that Sixth Form Colleges (along with schools, academies and all contracting authorities in Wales and Northern Ireland) are exempt from the Regulations 106, 108, 110, 112 and 113 that relate to the requirements to publish notices on contracts finder and have appropriate 30 day payment terms in all contracts.

More information on the Regulations concerning Contracts Finder and Payment Terms can be found on Further Education Library of Procurement.
