Appointment of a new CPL Group Managing Director

Darren Lowe will take over the position as Group Managing Director officially from the 1^{st of} August 2021, when the current postholder Peter Brewer commences his retirement.  Darren will work alongside Peter until then to ensure all of Peter’s knowledge is passed over and Darren is fully versed on all matters across the Group.

Darren joins the team with a vast amount of experience having worked in the FE sector from leaving school.  Darren, for over 16 years worked in both Oldham College and Preston’s College before joining Tenet in 2009.  Tenet in 2017, became part of the CPL Group and from the start Darren has fully immersed himself in the Group and been based with the CPC team in Salford.

Darren is looking forward to his new role and responsibilities and states “My hope is to continue the amazing journey that the CPL group has taken over the past 20 years and work closely with the Board of Trustees and CPL employees to achieve our vision of becoming the procurement services partner of choice for the education sector and through our work, help the sector to enhance teaching and learning.”

Peter added; “Darren is both the right and an excellent choice for the position. The Group is only a small part of the way down the road to where it could eventually be and I’m confident Darren will move the company forward. These are very exciting times for everyone associated with the Group.”
