Facilities Supplies framework re-tendered and active

By Lisa O'Shea

We are pleased to promote a new Facilities Supplies framework from NWUPC, a multi-lot agreement intended to run to 31st July 2025.

NWUPC itself is the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium; near neighbours of CPC's in Salford, Greater Manchester with a specialist focus on frameworks for Higher Education institutions (or HEIs). By partnering with NWUPC on a reciprocal basis, CPC is able to provide members with an even wider, more extensive and varied selection of procurement frameworks, embellishing an ever-growing catalogue in serving the education sector's purchasing needs.

In total, CPC offers members access to no fewer than 87 compliant purchasing frameworks, including 17 recommended by the Department for Education (DfE), following a period of assessment. The current portfolio of active agreements at CPC members’ disposal is compiled here, with this new framework taking the place of the previously active Electrical Materials offering, effective for two years as of 1st August 2023, with a two-year extension option in play from there.

With mini competition and direct reward options providing members with choice in their approach, depending on the project’s value or urgency, the Facilities Services agreement has scope to cover the provision of everything from new radiators, boilers and thermostats to cabling equipment and solar panelling.

Among other goods which fall under its remit, members might utilise the framework to procure safety equipment, heating and ventilation solutions, lighting control gear and wiring accessories, while the extensive agreement also extends to air filters, purifiers and cleaners, including their installation, maintenance and removal, plus more covered on our framework page, which also collates a number of the associated services now acquirable via this new arrangement.

Eleven different suppliers have been approved by NWUPC to support the Facilities Supplies agreement, with Ace Filtration, City Electrical Factors, Eyre & Elliston, Jasun Envirocare, Midland Filtration, Rexel UK, RS Components, Smith Bros (Caer Conan) Wholesale, TN Robinson, Westbury Filtermation and YESSS Electrical all on board.

Those members seeking to make use of the Facilities Supplies framework can meanwhile benefit from its framework-specific user guide document and assistance from CPC Contract Manager, Lisa O' Shea, with further information for institutions available from Lisa via [email protected]
