Schools and Academies Show April 2022 highlights

Last month, the CPL Group team travelled to London to take part in the Schools & Academies Show which took place at the Excel Centre. The show is the epicentre for all school professionals to come together to share knowledge and best practice, provide procurement expertise to support schools with their buying and to hear about the latest news in the education sector.  

The CPL Group, with its well-known subsidiary organisations (Crescent Purchasing Consortium and Tenet Education Services) attend the show twice a year and use it as an opportunity to showcase the many different ways we can support our members on their procurement journeys. We also put the spotlight on our ‘Giving Back’ funding opportunities for the entire education sector. To date, we have donated £963,000 to support schools and academies up and down the country, to help them buy vital equipment and technology to further education and inspire next generation of our future leaders. The CPL Group Village was located at the heart of the show and was a hive of activity throughout the day. It featured 11 supplier pods giving expert advice and support for varying procurement needs across the education sector. The CPL Team were also on hand providing their expertise on our 90 procurement frameworks (17 of which are approved by the DfE), consultancy support around the managing of tenders and compliant procurement, our on-demand services and much more.
